All about energy rates

Customers on Standard Retail Contracts

Energy Rates that are to be charged by electricity retailers for non-market customers, being those customers who are not a party to a negotiated retail contract, are determined by the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) and set by the Queensland Government and are usually adjusted on 1 July each year. These energy rates are known as the Notified Prices and are published in the Queensland Government Gazette and can be viewed at http://www.dme.qld.gov.au/Energy/electricity_retail_prices.cfm on the Queensland Department of Mines and Energy website.

Customers on Negotiated Retail Contracts
Energy Rates that are to be charged by Integral Energy for market customers, being those customers who are party to a negotiated retail contract, are set by Integral Energy. For small retail customers, these energy rates are based on the Notified Prices and may have a percentage discount off the regulated Notified Price. The percentage discount is locked in for the term of the Negotiated Retail Contract and will be set at a level depending on offers available from Integral Energy at the time of signing up on the Negotiated Retail Contract.

Please note that all Notified Price plans have conditions of use applied to them. Please refer to the Queensland Government Gazette that can be viewed at http://www.dme.qld.gov.au/Energy/electricity_retail_prices.cfm on the Queensland Department of Mines and Energy website.
