Additional charges

Customers may incur additional charges for the reasons outlined below. These charges are inclusive of GST unless designated otherwise. 

 

Early Termination Fee

 

For customers signing up with a business-visiting sales agent

This fee is applicable if a property is disconnected or the Agreement is terminated prior to the end of the fixed term Agreement. The fee payable will depend on when the Agreement is terminated as listed below:

Year 3	$65.00*

*This fee is only applicable to customers who signed a 3 year Negotiated Retail Contract.

 

For customers signing up over the phone or on-line

An Early Termination Fee of $50 is applicable if a property is disconnected or the Agreement is terminated prior to the end of the fixed term Agreement.

 

Dishonoured Payment Fee

 

If a bill payment by cheque or direct debit is dishonoured, or reversed, we may charge you an additional fee as well as recovering the original fee.

 

Dishonoured cheque	$22.00
Dishonoured Direct Debit	$8.80

 

Energex Move-in Fee

 

A move-in fee of $8.25 is applicable if a special meter reading is required prior to a move-in date. This fee is set by Energex.

 

Late Payment Fee

 

If you do not pay your account by the due date, a Late Payment fee may be charged, as per your Agreement.

Other Charges

 

If a Government, Regulator or Network Distributor varies or introduces a fee, charge or tax, we may pass through all or part of this varied or new fee, charge or tax to you.
